In any other job, compensation is tied to performance

Many people – teachers and parents – are asking for incentives for teachers to show that they can improve performances in area that we are most concerned about. In any other job, compensation is tied to performance – if you don’t produce you don’t get paid.  Many states are using the stimulus funds to initiate policies to develop such evaluation guidelines. There are pros and cons from a variety of stakeholders.
