Parents as Agents of Change Series

The Parent Information Center of Delaware (PIC) proudly presents Parents as Agents for Change, a parent advocacy series!

Parents can and will influence policy makers and help shape policies by gaining a thorough understanding of the political process and a particular set of skills to inform and persuade policy makers.
Hosted in both New Castle and Kent Counties, these workshops will explore Delaware’s political process, how to influence policy makers, and how to turn personal concern into an effective tool for change. Participants will have the opportunity to receive individual coaching, meet with elected officials, and attend legislative hearings. Attendees will also be presented with a certificate that identifies them as parents who have the expertise and skills to  advocate for their children at school and legislative levels. For maximum benefit, attendance at each workshop in the series  is highly encouraged! We will request 24 hours notice for any cancellations.
